Adults at the Theatre
On June 2 some students from the adults department went to Teatro del Fuerte to see a comedy play called "Gimme a Break".
Reginald, an adolescent, reaches a tipping point in his life after realizing he has been completely smothered by his overprotective mother, his classmates' constant bullying and his father's apathy.
After a life-changing epiphany about the story of his life, he finds the courage to fight for his emotional freedom.
Singing Time!
In June the Adults Department will start taking short singing sessions. Singing in English can help you improve your pronunciation, listening and speaking skills and also learn grammar and vocabulary.
The music teacher called Gisela Gonzalez will be in charge of the singing lessons.
Hope you have a great music time!
Collocations!
A collocation is made up of two or more words that are commonly used together in English. There are different kinds of collocations in English. Strong collocations are word pairings that are expected to come together. Good collocation examples of this type of word pairing are combinations with 'make' and 'do'. You make a cup of tea, but do your homework. Collocations are very common in business settings when certain nouns are routinely combined with certain verbs or adjectives. For example, draw up a contract, set a price, conduct negotiations, etc.
Why learn collocations?•Your language will be more natural and more easily understood.
•You will have alternative and richer ways of expressing yourself.
•It is easier for our brains to remember and use language in chunks or blocks rather than as single words.
Some common verbs have do make

Learning English helps your brain make connections
By far the most important factor is how much time you are immersed in the language. The more time you spend with the language, the faster you will learn. This means listening, reading, writing, speaking, and studying words and phrases. This does not mean sitting in class looking out the window, nor listening to other students who do not speak well, nor getting explanations in your own language about how the language works. This means spending time enjoyably connected to the language you are learning.
Exercise your brain!
